Web 2.0 Resources and the Distance Learner

Web 2.0 technology is one of the many resources available to distance educators and learners. Working on my ePortfolio, I'm learning now which of those technologies will best meet my needs. Since one of the requirements of my course is to start an online journal and blog, I've been playing around with a couple of different programs. What I've discovered is that because of the "private" nature of e-journals that are available, use of a blog will probably be best for my purposes. Although the process of identifying the appropriate tool has been a bit frustrating, what I appreciate most is the importance of identifying the correct tools. I can only imagine what this task looks like at the university level with its many layers and procedures.
